Add Windows Printer to Mac via CUPS
Using your browser, go to http://localhost:631 -- this is the CUPS page. The Common UNIX Printing System is used as the underlying print system. Configure your printer there, and it "magically" appears in Leopard. CUPS can do Windows, even if Leopard cannot, including accessing the workgroup. You will need an administrator login/password to your Mac. [This is the same username / password as when the Mac was originally configured].
